OK so I've been doing some research to prep for the upcoming release of inscription. Here's a shopping list of herbs that should be enough to level you from 0 to around 350 as long as you're standing by the trainer and the trade vendor.

    a. 8 stacks of Silverleaf, Peacebloom or Earthroot (Any Starting Area – all varieties)

    b. 6 Stacks of Mageroyal, Briarthorn, Swiftthistle, Bruiseweed, or Stranglekelp (Silverpine Forest – all varieties)

    c. 8 Stacks of Wild Steelbloom, GraveMoss, Kingsblood, or Liferoot (Duskwood – all varieties)

    d. 16 Stacks of Fadeleaf, Goldthorn, Khadgar’s Whisker,Wintersbite (STV – all varieties)

    e. 12 Stacks of Firebloom, Purple Lotus, Arthas’ Tears, Sungrass, Blindweed, Ghost Mushroom, or Gromsblood (Swamp of Sorrows – Blindweed)

    f. 20 Stacks of Golden Sansam, Dreamfoil,Mountain Silversage, Plaguebloom or Icecap (Winterspring – Icecap)

    g. 20 Stacks of Ragveil, Felweed, Dreaming Glory, Terocone, Nightmare Vine, Netherbloom, Mana Thistle or Ancient Lichen (Terokkar Forest – all varieties)

Kinda wish I'd had this list a few weeks ago - needless to say I'm giong to be running aruond herbing tomorrow and Tuesday.. Though I was planning on making Egeria my Inscriptor and seeing as she's only level 33 I won't be able to train her all the way till at least another 10 levels or so.

Also something interesting to note you can learn how to 'research' how to make minor glyphs from when you reach around 70-75 skill level. This research has a 20 hour cooldown and gives you a chance to learn how to make a minor glyph requiring any level BELOW your current skill level. So basically if you're planning on levelling inscription in one sitting as soon as the patch goes live hit your 'research' skill when you're as high as possible and theres a probability you'll be one of the first people in the game to learn one of the higher level minor glyphs (which obvously means you could make a killing selling it on the AH)

I'll have to start herbing then I guess; I foolishly sold my stacks of old herbs (admitedly not a huge amount) before I realised inscription would use them.

I have collected a load of herbs myself and have been storing them in my bank. I'm not going to go for inscription right away though i am going to sell all of these herbs when it becomes availaible for a high price and then start a new toon with inscription and herbing and work my way up like that.

I herbed an awful lot yesterday, might be tempted to sell some when I have a sneaky at the AH tonight!

Having seen the inscription pages, I'm now quite tempted by one myself - maybe for the next poor alt I drag through Azeroth...

I'll come clean though. It was Glyph of the Penguin that decided me. That and the prospect of pretty inks :)
