    It appears Wowhead has an advert from Wrath, Blizz have confirmed it's an offical advert, but don't confirm the actual date. Project Lore are also confirming this with the background, they've tweeted suggesting it's offical.

      It should be noted that the 2.0.1 patch was released more than a month prior to The Burning Crusade, so we'll hopefully see the 3.0.2 patch in a month or so's time (though it's already up on the PTR apparently, so it may arrive even earlier).

      I'd best get cracking on all of those quests I've not yet completed.

      Yikes, only 8 weeks to do all I want to do before Wrath comes out, and I've not even hit 70 yet :-( Even though the release date (if it doesn't get pushed back) is still 59 days away this one announcement has made rushing to see as much as possible of the current content but at the same time I've lost all impetus to do the vast number of rep grinds that come with the current endgame. It's hard to be bothered to spend hours/days grinding up epic X when it could be replaced by quest reward Y half an hour after landing in Northrend.

      WoW certainly feels wierd in those few months right before an expansion.
      I really should be working....

        Apparently there isn't as big a gap between BC and WotLK as there was between WoW and BC, equipment-wise, so endgame stuff from Outland should be useful for a good few levels into Northrend.

        ...I certainly hope so anyway, I'm damned if I'm grinding honour again any time soon.

          My first quest reward as Salindor the Warlock, was the choice of a few weapons. The one suited to spell power DPS was a dagger, which wasn't really all that much better than what I already had. It certainly wasn't any worse but it wasn't the kind of better where by my awesome staff I got from Scholo was instantly replaced by a horrid looking green staff first quest into Outland.

          Sadly I had to take the dagger in the end, against all my better judgement, because it looked SO DAMN COOL. When I get home I'll upload the picture. I couldn't bear not to take it, with it's shimmering blue swirlyness.

          Maybe this is their new ploy.

          It's probably worth grinding honor and then not spensding it so you have a nice boost of honor to spend once you hit 80 :D Think I'm going to stash up all my honor. There's no point in keeping all your [Badge of Justice] though, so grind up to a nice round number and spend em on something shiny to help you speed through the first few levels in Northrend... Or spend em on something that'll look cool when you decide to kit yourself out in all your old ''end game'' kit.

          I think my concerns pre wrath are going to be grinding gold (becuase I'm sure there'll be loadsa stuff to spend it on in Wrath) and leveling up my professions - stil need 15 points in Enchanting. Also going to stockpile Enchanting mats to make the first few levels from 375 to aruond 400 a bit easier.

          Pre 3.0.2 Plan on stockpiling herbs for the inevitable gold rush that is going to be new inscripters needing the mats (oh and also for my own inscriptor ofc)

          Aww gutted, had hoped they might have been the new set that we haven't bought yet. I have the Collectors edition set from the BC release though, so can add the Wrath ones to the collection :P

          I lost the best card from my BC Collector's edition :( It was one of the heroes you could play as, and the uber large and foiled version of it went walkies :(

        To those of you with the TBC collector's edition; does the art book give you any insight into the backstory of Outland? If it does, I may well end up getting the WotLK CE, as I don't want to be ignorant of the story again - I think I've missed out on so much with WoW and TBC; quite often I just completely skip quest descriptions as I have no idea who the people being talked about are. Thankfully I have some idea who Arthas is, but I'm contemplating just buying WC3 and TFT tomorrow.

          No. It's just shiny artwork. Some nice drawn pictures of scenery and some progressions of the characters and such. e.g. wireframe, base textures, full textures, with highlights etc etc. Nothing about the story or anything in there. If you want the story (i'm a bit of a lore junkie personally) get WC3 and TFT, and/or read the History of Warcraft (that's page 1 of 6 of the lore/history).

          I've just bought myself a copy of Warcraft 3. Am I right in thinking that'll be relevant to the BC storyline, or is all of it about Arthas?

          They're linked, without too many spoilers the Human campaign is the fall of Arthas the Paladin, the Undead campaign the rise of Arthas the Death Knight. The final 2 campaigns deal with the assault of the Burning Legion on Azeroth ending in the Battle of Mount Hyjal.

          The Frozen Throne deals with Illidan taking over Outland, and Arthas' assension to Lich King, the founding of the Forsaken and the Orc campaign that very much feels like a WoW alpha :-)

          Oh dear, the second mission of the prologue features Grom Hellscream. Now I recognise that name from WoW, but I can't for the life of me remember where from. I can see this happening a lot during WC3.

          It's so nice to have a character-driven RTS.

          Grom Hellscream is mentioned quite a lot on the Horde side of WoW, as he was Thrall's best friend (basically). Also, if you go to the South East of Ashenvale forest there is a monument to him, presumably placed there by Thrall after events that will transpire as you play WC3.

          Apparently the German Amazon had it for actual preorder for about half an hour, then it went back to "Email me when it's available", so either they fucked up or we missed our chance. Either way, I suspect that Gamestation are being somewhat hopeful and have put it up for preorder before they have confirmed the number of units they'll be getting, or have not taken it off preorder after going through their allocation. I went into Gamestation in town before it had even appeared on any sites and got them to put my name down, and I checked today and got told it had gone through the till, so fingers crossed a shiny copy of it turns up in store for me.

          I decided that after spending £50 on a new mouse that I'd just be getting the regular edition. Got it on order from Gameplay, as they've never failed to get things to me on the day of release (or the day before, on all but one occasion).

      Well... yes... release date is 13th... We're now a day after the 3.0.2 patch... if anyone thinks the release day isn't going to be this bad is mad.

      Perhaps 13th is the start of the Beta... actual game play will start like on the 20th? ;)

      Well it's gone live already... it appears to be working. There was no outage... The servers haven't died..... yet. That is until everyone wants to try it tomorrow evening when they get home from the shops and from the post.

      37 Death Knights online atm... /who limits to 50, so I have no idea if that's a lot compared to other classes.

        It just needs to update, the website has had everything it's needed for Inscription, Death Knights and Level 80's in since the Wrath Beta came out. :)
