    25th June, that's a Friday I would like to go to Verdi's for a meal with many people. In order to book I need numbers So who would like to join me.

    Also the next day, Saturday 26th June, I plan to have a barbeque, in the afternoon, following on the the evening with party, xbox, wow, whatever I will provide all the food for this, so again I need numbers, and special preferences.

    Friends, partners etc invited. I have a spare double bed, two sofas (one large one small) a camp bed and an air bed available for people so sleep over.

      Totally missed that this was two events. Hmm. I'd prefer to go to the BBQ if that is good enough for me to count as celebrating your birthday, as I'm going to be quite skint coming up the end of this bursary period. And my special preference is sausages. And cucumber.

      If you'd like me at the meal too I can come and eat breadsticks, that's probably no different to me eating normally ;-)

        I'm hoping that I can get a deal from them that means it will not be too hard on skint students, but until I have a vague idea of numbers I can't say what it will be. When I went in at the weekend they were being quite vague, but it's worth noting that Steph and I are regulars to the extent I have been invited down the the kitchen to drink with he head chef. So I suspect a deal will be forthcoming.

      Why not? Not sure about Verdes (the veg options are a bit...haphazard to the point of not existing last time I checked) but J and I both like BBQs. And birthdays ;)

      For the time being assume I'm out, my shifts are too unreliable to commit to anything more than a week in advance and I live to far away to do anything short notice :/

      I thought I couldn't make this and you mentioning it on teamspeak just now has made me look over my calendar and I definitely can. I guess I'll be there on the Saturday :D

      Might even be tempted to take the Friday off. We'll see.

        Right, well I don't think we are doing verdes now, as there wasn't enough people. Steph and I will be though, and will be pubbing afterwards. But also BBQ with fish and ribs:)

        Can I ask people to let me know dietary requirements for BBQ, bring your own booze (Chris you still have 2 Guinness from last year)

          Dietary requirements:

          1) Large amounts of meat, well cooked.
          2) Conjured cinnamon rolls.

          Without the above I may wither and die.

          Do you want us to bring any of our own grillable meat products, or just booze?

          I figured people would want the rolls :)

          Just bring booze, and if people are wanting to stay for the evening, more guitars and drum kits for Rocking Hero

      So I have ordered a rack of pork ribs, tomorrow I shall see about ordering a salmon, we will be doing stuffed peppers, vegetable kebabs, burgers, sausages, pasta salad. There is also lettace growing, and i'll get other salady bits.

      On the sweet note, Cinnamon rolls, chocolate bananas, smores, and birthday cake.

      Any other requests? Also do I need to cater for vegans, as well as vegetarians? I am not sure how fall on that one?

        I'm vegetarian! We'll probably be in Lorton, a bit south of Cockermouth, so if you could just send up a few burgers... ;)
